A: The following YouTube channel and websites are very young-child-friendly.

I (and my 6-year-old!) love this video and this whole web series: 

Annotated Bibliography of Children's Books from Gender Spectrum.
Mostly for kids under the age of 10.

Several models exist for explaining gender identity and expression to children. One of them is the Gender Unicorn:
