About Capstone: In order to meet graduation requirements, students must complete a capstone, an online professional portfolio. The graduation candidate must demonstrate their knowledge of librarianship by showing depth and breadth of learning in eight student learning outcomes.
About Me:
Hello! I'm Jen. I was born and raised in Indiana and taught junior high and high school English language arts for 15 years. I have undergraduate degrees in theater and English education and a Masters in Education: curriculum and instruction.
I now live in Greensboro, North Carolina, where I am finishing my Master of Library and Information Studies degree so that I can work as a Youth Services librarian. I currently work as a Kids' lead at Barnes & Noble and I really enjoy my job.
I am a member of the LGTBQ+ community who is also raising a transgender son. Diversity in library materials and access of information for everyone is important to me. I love to read and write and participate in community theater productions. She/her/hers.
