Q: What do I say to students/patrons who are scared of transgender people using the bathrooms?

A:  My snarky answer is "It's none of anyone's business who pees where!  Chill out, people!"

My snarky answer is not sufficient for some 😑.

So here are some resources I recommend:

Law Does Not Bar Trans People from Using Public Facilities

Letting Transgender people use the restroom is NOT dangerous

And for some levity: My personal favorite video about this topic

In conclusion, some people will still feel uncomfortable about the idea of transgender people existing, but transgender people do exist, they use the restroom, and they should be able to do so safely.
